Save time and travel safe with Quick Pass
Why accept a slow start to your self-drive experience? We want to help you get on your way quickly and safely.
That’s why we’ve introduced our new Quick Pass feature which allows you to provide us with all the details we need, so we can complete your rental agreement before you arrive to collect your hire vehicle.
How it works
Quick Pass allows you to check-in from the moment you’ve completed your booking. You will need your driving licence and a payment card to hand, because these details will be required during the check-in process. But if you don’t have all the information with you at the time of the booking, you’ll be free to activate Quick Pass anytime that suits you up to two hours before your indicated collection time.
Don’t worry, we’ll send you a few reminders by email should you forget.
And that’s it, you’re ready to go.
On the day
Remember to bring a copy of your Quick Pass confirmation email, your driving licence and payment card, plus one other form of ID. You’ll need to show us all of these as proof of identity.*
For some higher value rentals, you may be required to share two payment cards, this will be highlighted in your booking confirmation.
At the Avis rental station simply head to the key collection point. We’ll ask you to confirm your identity so please make sure you have all the necessary documentation. Then we’ll ask for a signature and hand you the keys.
And that’s it, you’re good to start your journey, with minimal fuss.
*In case of additional drivers addded to your booking, we will need to check their proof of ID and their driving license.
Priority service with Avis Preferred
If you’re an Avis Preferred member with an upcoming booking, you don’t need to use Quick Pass.
Don’t forget, as an Avis Preferred member you can enjoy priority service when collecting your vehicle. If you’ve downloaded the Avis app, you can use the app to bypass the counter altogether in certain locations.
